Gold book (23/11/15)

Here is year 4's gold book children

Tiegan
Tiegan is in the gold book this week for the amount of effort she has been putting in the last week, she has been trying really hard and challenging herself during lessons and her confidence is growing, please keep this up because you are doing brilliantly!

Edward
I could put Edward in the gold book every week for his fantastic maths work, he always excels himself in lessons, his mental maths ability puts mine to shame and he loves a mathematical challenge, a real pleasure to teach!

Gold book (16/11/15)

Kayden
Kayden is in the gold book this week because we have seen such a great improvement in his handwriting, it is now neat and well presented. He is also a super star during our CLIC session, his mental maths is fab!

Karis
Karis is in the Gold book this week because of the great understanding she shows when she is reading, her comprehension skills are great and she can discuss and infer from the text, a skill that is greatly needed, well done!

Remembrance Day

This year, as a way to show our respect to those who are and have served our country, each class made a poppy wreath.
Our Year 4 wreath was made up of an individual poppy made by every member of our class.
Here are some photos of the laid wreaths in the assembly;

Ours is the large one on the floor on the right.

This is Mrs Longhawn's clay poppy from the Tower of London, it is very beautiful!

Also Mrs Longhawn's assembly was extremely moving, telling us the history about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Finally, thank you to everyone for being so respectful during the 2 minute silence.
