Our 8 legged visitor

To kick start our new literacy unit we had a visitor, she was called Charlotte, Charlotte is a female tarantula, it was really interesting listening to how she behaves, what she is like. Here are some photos of Charlotte herself and her skin!

Our new topics

As a new term has started year 4 have started 2 new topics, in literacy we have started studying Charlotte's Web by E. B. White and in topic we have started studying World War II.

Gold book (25/4/16)

Mia 

Mia is in the gold book for being reflective during maths, she has looked at her answers and realised where she has made an error and corrected them.


Tiegan 

Tiegan is in the gold book for being resilient, she found 1 session of maths this week tricky but she didn't give up and achieved what was being asked of her, well done.

Year 4 gold book this week;

Myles 
Myles is in the gold book this week for being reflective, he self assessed his big write and effectively evaluated his writing, correctly recognising his strengths and next steps.

Ellen 
Ellen is in the gold book this week for being resourceful, she used her personal dictionary to make corrections to her spellings and checked them again by using spell check on the computers!

This weeks Year 4 gold book children are;

Ben 
Ben showed both perserverance and resiliance during our perimeter maths lesson this week, he continued trying even when he found it tricky and was very pleased at the end of the session by what he had achieved.

Rose D
Rose is in the gold book this week for being a resource, she volunteered her knowledge to a fellow class mate who was struggling, well done!

Jake has show great co-operation this week, he has been helping his fellow class mates when they have found something tricky, this was lovely to see and what a fantastic trait to have!

Tarja is in the gold book this week for the perseverance she has shown in maths, she found word problems tricky but she carried on until she understood it, well done!
