We are now learning how to write using joined-up handwriting. We have very recently started to learn to write this way because of the changes that have been made to the National Curriculum. We wanted you all to see the progress we are making already with our handwriting.

Tutankahmun
Today we learned that Howard Carter was the person who discovered the pharoahs tomb. We took a walk in his shoes and found out what it must have been like to be him. Have a look at the photos below to see what was in our tomb. What do you expect you would have found in Tutenkahun's tomb?
Topic multifaceted learning
This afternoon we worked on a range of topic areas.
We discussed what it was like to persevere. We decided that persevering was about not quitting or giving in; it was about trying hard to overcome whatever barriers there were that was making our learning tricky.
We wrote information texts about Ancient Egypt including headings, sub-headings, captions and pictures.
We also worked on our watercolour skills. We practised using the brushes in different ways and using different amount of water to create different effects.
I enjoyed all our learning this afternoon Year 4; did you?
